ya'akov Born and raised in Tennessee, Jim began playing the trumpet at age 7.  Practice and dedication earned him a scholarship and the opportunities to do studio work in Nashville.
Growing up in the "Bible Belt,"  faithfulness to all of God's word has proven to be the foundation that would lead to further understanding and an interest in the Hebraic roots of his faith.  About five years ago Jim and his family realized the importance of the Lord's teachings and instructions (Torah) for their lives.  At the age of 49, Jim learned that he was of Jewish decent.  Embracing his new found heritage, he began to go by his Hebrew name Ya'akov".
